About Beehive Studios

Founded in 1994 by Ann McGuire and comprised of four female designers, Beehive Studios prides itself on attention to detail using paint and color. Inspired by a mountain in Maine, Beehive Studios is based on a foundation of creativity, teamwork and nature. Each individual designer brings a varied and distinct background in sculpture, film, color theory, education and working with top designers to Beehive Studios. This extensive skill set enables Beehive Studios to bring subtle artistry to consumer paint projects. Beehive Studios constantly draws from nature, history, art, literature and textiles to influence the colors, designs and styles of its work.

Beehive Studios understands consumer paint angst and the emotions involved when taking on a paint project. Its aim is to eliminate this stress, caused largely by color selection and application, by guiding consumers to find their personal color and style. Designing and executing decorative paint projects in many of America's most beautiful homes, Beehive Studios is committed to making color selection easy and paint projects enjoyable for consumers.

By considering form and function - what works artistically with what works day-to-day - consumers can determine the look and feel they want to elicit with their paint projects. Beehive Studios also seeks to encourage consumers to overcome their fear of color. Experimenting with colors is a joy every consumer should experience. And if the end result is not as planned, it is easy to just try again until they find their perfect color.
